News Story - Fundraising Support for Jamie Clark and Family

Jamie Clark is a young man who experienced meningitis as a young baby. Jamie has cerebal palsy, severe learning difficulties, severe epilepsy and visual impairment, amongst other life challenges.

Jamie uses a K-walker or a wheelchair to mobilise. At school it was reported that he particularly enjoyed playing on a Birds Nest Swing at school.

Meningitis Association Scotland was approached by an Occupation Therapist to see if we could help in providing support in developing a back yard at home for Jamie's needs - especially with a Birds Nest Swing.

The Meningitis Association Scotland was able to raise over £8,000 which went towards the development of play carpet, grass matting and a Birds Nest Swing, in the family backyard.

Reports are that Jamie loves his new Birds Nest Swing and spends plenty of happy hours swinging on it.
